It's not that we're bad.....we're just not that good.

    Hmmm

So once again it is that time of year where people are offering somewhere between unerring support and unwavering criticism.

In the main I agree we're not that bad. We're not. We're just not what Leeds fans expect (a win every game or at least to look like we are trying). In the main we have a few good strikers, some off form (we can't hassle Luciano too much, everyone is allowed a dip in form - even Thierry Henry!) some to come back (Somma!!)

We try too (mostly) and have some good young players. The litmus test for all is yet to come though with regard to Howson and the like who's contracts are coming to an end. Will they renew or 'do a Beckford'.

The problem in the main is that we aren't that good and do everything on the beg (not the cheap - the BEG!). Well, as far as I see it anyway. No on-pitch investment which is blatantly evident when anywhere over 2 of our main 11 are injured.

It is somewhere between managerial incompetence (which seems to becoming evident not by play but by the words that are uttered in interviews unless I am picking up on something that doesn't seem to make sense), lack of boardroom investment activity on the pitch and of course our chairman managing to mouth off every 2 minutes so we don't forget (or him) who he is. Homesick probably.

If you were a potentially good player (aside those that come up through the ranks) would you join our club?? no matter my love for Leeds if you are constantly up against the chairman + fans + manager all spieling nonsense the wages would have to be pretty astronomical. Usurping those of even Carlos.

So with all of the above in mind I would suggest that January will be (as usual) a hugely dire disappointment to all of us. Come the end of the season we will be hearing much the same. "Lot to go on", "seen improvement", "young squad" and so on. 10th maybe.

As always I offer my full support to the team/squad and manager, I have a feeling that I will be saying more or less the same thing for years to come though. Another 3 years and we could be in League 1 again.

Now stop fookin about Kenny B and the Moaners, come on Leeds! MOT.
