At the end of the day after the Arsenal game I discovered, to my horror, that I had been wearing blue underwear - something that I particularly avoid to do on matchdays, as well as any other blue item of clothing with the exception of jeans. Every matchday since I have intended to wear my blue underwear, with the exception of Villa and Reading, which we drew.

My conclusion, we win when I wear blue underwear.

So I apologise for the Reading and Villa draws, they are all my fault.

LOL ..I have a 'blue' superstition when it comes to match days too. I won't even put a blue handkerchief in my pocket let alone wear anything blue. I call it the 'Ipswich' curse and I avoid blue everything. I know it's stupid but I can't help it

Fair point with exception of jeans and a suit I hardly own anything thats blue. I avoid brands associated with them to, my personal favourite was when my Mum had to have some stern words with my Dad because when I was about 10 I kicked off in the middle of the garden centre and caused an awful scene when she went to buy some Fisions fertiliser.

The blue thing has come as second nature to me now, obviously it slipped for the Arsenal game, but I also avoid yellow or green for matchdays as well.

I have the same thing about the yellow and green combination. It's not just limited to matchdays. i dont even let my nieces and nephews draw with yellow and green crayons on the same piece of paper

If I take my boys to Portman Rd I make a point of dropping in to see my mum after the match so that my boys can visit their Grandma...

On one such occasion she was telling them how she would never have any green item in her house placed next to a yellow item, my sharp-eyed son pointed out to her that she had a green apple next to a banana in her fruit bowl...

She gave him the kind of withering look that only a Grandmother can give, and without saying a word, carefully placed an orange between the apple and banana!
