The Women's Premier League starts on Sunday as Pompey take on Cardiff at home. The match is at Cams Alder in Fareham and kick off is at 2pm. Tickets are £3 for adults and £1 for concessions. This season is the biggest yet. The prize at the end is promotion to the Super League, the land of milk and honey. People talk about how much promotion to the Premiership is worth, well promotion to the Super League would (by women's football standards) be worth as much, if not more. Literally the very futures of the clubs involved could boil down to whether or not they are promoted (which is not a healthy system for any league, but that's the FA for you). Thus, the support of the fans is vital, as yesterday's match showed how much of a difference they can make.

Thus this season, we need your support! So come down to Cams Alder and roar on Pompey.

    YOUR CITY, YOUR WOMEN'S TEAM

The Pompey team of next season seems to be mostly the same one as last year (unlike the previous summer where we lost quite a few players to the Super League). This year we've only lost one player to the Super League as far as I'm aware, Gemma Simmonds. Hopefully that consistency will help us in our promotion push.
