I am not talking about posters on this site but rather the people who are our Bristol City, and that is the board, management and players. It doesn't take a genius to know that we are not doing too well right now and the talk is starting to ask the inevitable questions as to who actually is at fault, not that fault is necessarily the answer. As a club we have fallen off the radar and, like a lot of you, I believe that the problems are not singular but more multi-level and that evil combination is beginning to drag our self confidence to an all time low. We have the right to express our concerns on this site and the negativity and second guessing is starting to take hold and who can blame us for our thoughts. So where do we start to assess the problems affecting Bristol City and where do we point our fingers for assessment of potential blame and hopefully for some of the answers that may solve our problem and get us back in to a better frame of mind? Have we really had the back luck to appoint, depending on where you start your baseline, 3 or 4 bad managers in a row, or is there something even more sinister lurking in the back halls of Ashton Gate of which we, as mere mortals, are kept totally in the dark? If that is indeed the case then then the answers may be more difficult to locate, and solve, in the near future unless the problems are addressed at whatever level they need to be fixed. Are the managers we appoint being given everything they need to improve the squad to get us back to financial and league status satisfaction, or are they held back in their vain attempts to satisfy all the baying hounds hanging around the exit gates waiting for the latest victim of austerity to meet the inevitable doom? The powers that be have stated many times their 5 pillars, or whatever they are called, to show us that they mean business in their own sweet way and yet the total lack of improvement raises it's ugly head virtually every day in some form or another. That cannot be acceptable to anyone involved in their own way with BCFC right from the top brass to the paying customers. Having tried to get to all departments in turn that only leaves the players to assess and comment on, although some of their problems will no doubt also be included in the pros and cons of the manager. Is it my imagination or do we hold the league record for the most signings of players that don't come with same instructions on the tin when their agents (makes me sick when I use that term) told us we could not manage without their client, or is it a figment of my imagination and a sign of advancing years and becoming more like Victor Meldrew by the minute. Frustration and disbelief is my current state of mind and the only cure is for Bristol City to be where I want them to be, and that doesn't mean being Champions League winners in 5 years, and that is just to prove they want to play and win for the red shirt and I don't think that is too much to ask-is it?
