We are the most likely Englsih winners. Chelsea who have for part of thins season been in worse form that the teams sat at the bottom and Tottenham who sort of play great....then play rubbish all season. Its a tough draw, not because its chelsea but because its 2 top english clubs who are known to often cancel each other out.
Rubbish. You have no more chance of winning than us and our chamions league form has been very good this year. We only really struggled in 1 game, away to marseille when we'd already qualified.
I was taking form over the whole season into account during which at 1 point you had one of if not the worst form in the entire Premier League. It would be very embarrassing for a team who was playing worse than Wolves, Wigan and others down at the bottom to win the champions league. the last time such a joke took place was the Liverpool 2005 win when the **** bastards couldnt even qualify for it properly.

er sorry we did qualify for the champs league when we won it.we didnt qualify for the champs league as we finished 5th behind everton during the season we won it, and uefa said as we were the holders we could play in the champs league the following season but we had to play the 1st qualifying round against tns and so on.
That's what he's referring to - finishing 5th in the league in the same season you won it. Your 2004/05 season was pretty dire tbh - out of the FA Cup in the 3rd round to Burnley, 14 league defeats, you only got 5th place on goal difference, only qualified from your CL group on goal difference, needed some appalling finishing by Juve in the QF, the ghost goal in the semi final, and needed a couple of goal line clearances and goal keeping heroics in the final. I'm not saying you didn't deserve it - after all you can only beat the team in front of you. But out of all the teams to have won the CL over the past 19 years, Liverpool's was probably the least convincing overall performance, and even Liverpool fans admit that the squad was pretty dire. That's one of the main defences they use for Benitez - he had to spend big to rebuild a poor squad.
Don't forget that Van Der Sar also slipped for the Chelsea equalizer, had he not the game may never of made it to penalties anyway.

Given that we only went to penalties with Chelsea due to Essien's speculative long range shot deflecting of both Rio and Vidic, and falling at Lampard's feet at the same time as VDS slipping in the same penalty area that Terry did, I don't think Chelsea were the only ones to be unlucky in that final. We had 58% possession in the match, almost twice as many shots on target, and went undefeated through the entire CL that year. And we also won the PL that year. Everyone needs a bit of luck to win the CL, but you can't seriously be comparing Liverpool's 04/05 squad and season to United's 07/08 squad and season?

Half the people complaining about your team are your own fans. After every poor result you go on about your uncreative midfield and how your manager needs to spend in the summer. Don't you then think it is a bit rich then to complain about other fans saying you have a poor team in comparison with previous premier league winners when you lot probably think the same thing deep down?
