No matter how many times I watch those scenes at the Ataturk ,it never fails to bring a tear to the eye! Still can't believe it!!
being "too young " for the previous win that day defines LFC for me just like FA cup 1989 in my mind...
1984 is actually a long time ago rhc... thats why i say 1989 cup final was a stick out moment for me. i was 7 in 1984........ still old enough
I can honestly say I'm shocked You seem to have the views and the approach of someone a good deal older. Not having a go - that's just how it seems
Don't care if we never win anything ever again, that'll do for me. Well, I do care really- but you know what I mean. And yes, I'm old enough to remember all the others.
"It is no good having a goalscorer scoring 30 goals and no-one else scores - I've always been against that theory," said the Reds boss. "You are going to need upwards of 70-odd goals to be up around the Champions League [places]. RvP damn near single handedly got them 3rd! I do agree with the bits in it about having the team as whole being dangerous not just one player. Still that one player could make a difference.
I have so much work due at work it is unreal. It is for a goverment grant so loads of data form all of the cummunities, having to piece it all together for a report to show growth, having to input every bit of data, etc. basically if we don't get the grant, well, I am out of a job! I have no clue why I put that in this thread, but it is Friday, I clearly remember the bar I was at ( fox & hound ) when Istanbul and that great game happened. There were some Milan fans in there giving it large, strangely they weren't there at the end.
