    Christmas?

We mean the countdown to the transfer window and a fixture list filled to the brim.

There are a lot of points to be won this month. But it will be a huge test for our young squad.

    December 2012
    Premier League
    Liverpool v Southampton Sat 1 Dec 15:00

    Europa League - Group A
    Udinese v Liverpool Thu 6 Dec 18:00

    Premier League
West Ham v Liverpool Sun 9 Dec 16:00

    Premier League
Liverpool v Aston Villa Sat 15 Dec 15:00

    Premier League
    Liverpool v Fulham Sat 22 Dec 17:30

    Premier League
    Stoke v Liverpool Wed 26 Dec 19:45

    Premier League
    QPR v Liverpool Sun 30 Dec 16:00

Get this right and we can close the gap on 4th right up. On paper, Fulham will be the biggest challenge. But we cannot relax against any of these.

Several games are just 3 or 4 days apart. To think many countries are preparing a winter break.

Putting the trimmings up today, always good for a family argument every year.

Mine always go up with about a week left. Not sure I even had any last year.

Maybe I should put them up early today.

Does spending boxing day in Stoke mean no Christmas at home?

We should be winning at least 5 of those PL games...Stoke might be a tough draw away from home.

Less than 3 wins and BR has alot of questions to answer

I predict a healthy 11 points and getting dumped out of Europa from those games.

Good news is if we succeed in getting 11 points and WBA get none in that time... we will finally be one point above them.

i want to just put a point out here.

    young squad???

    pepe is 30
    jonhson is 28 just baout
    skertl is 28
    agger is 28
    enrique is 22
    allen is 22
gerrard is just baout 33 now
    suarez is 24
    sterling is 17
suso is 18 but borini is 22

now yes we've a lot more young men than players over 25 but there is HUGE expereicne and they should be doing a lot better.

southampton? qpr? west ham? Villa? these are not tests these are fodder that should be set upon with gusto with the aim of getting good GD... not looked upon as tests.

i expect better performances and just stop the dmaned leaking of goals.

Should beat Southampton, Villa & Fulham at home. West Ham away could be difficult as could Stoke.

QPR - not to sure yet, need to see what Harry does to them over the coming weeks, but it's no doubt a game we should be winning.

harry redknapp is NOT a genius...

he got plenty to spend at pompey and spurs but has a litany of failures to his name too. QPR is a difficult job but there's oodles of cash and a decent suqad... but if peoepl think the second coming of harry is about to occur where qpr rise up the table like lazarus... welll lets just see about that shall we?

Not suggesting that, but you see plenty of times a new manager comes in to a team performing badly and they suddenly perform a lot better before going back to normal form. Look at Sunderland last year, were awesome under O'Neill then started to drift back again. Same with us under Kenny when he came back, really kicked on before dropping back off again slowly.

Harry may do the same for QPR for 4 or 5 games before they go back to normal which is why it might be a tricky game for us.

Partly true. But a lot of our experience is in defence.

    Defence: Reina 30, Jones 29, Skrtel, Agger and Johnson 28, Carragher 34, Coates 22, Enrique 22, Wisdom 19. 7 25 or over.

    Midfield: Gerrard 30, Lucas 25, Allen and Henderson 22, Sahin 23, Shelvey 20. 2 25 or over.

Attack: Suarez 25, Borini 21, Sterling 17, Suso 19, Assaidi 24, Cole 30, Downing 27. 3 25 or over (but only one player regular games).

Our defence is doing fine now it has settled and the experience is showing. Agger, Johnson and Skrtel are all in good form.

Our attack, apart from Suarez, is not doing so well. Sterling has played well, but the goals are not there (apart from Suarez), so the job is not getting done.

Our midfield is up and down.
