How much would you pay to have Carroll back?

Finally a side is starting to give him the right sort of delivery like we used to.

It was no fluke that he scored 12 goals in half a season, and we don't need to play an all out hoofball game to make him work.

From what I see, we're not going to be a side that can play like Swansea, but we can play some good football, but it's good to mix up your style IMO.

Spurs played passing football with Crouch in their side, we can do it with Carroll.

I could imagine Carroll flicking a ball down for Cisse to hit first time. I think they could make a decent partnership, or we can change our styles from game to game.

We can keep Carroll on the bench for home games and play 4-2-3-1 and pass it about, and bring Carroll on late. And we can play a bit more defensive and long balls away from home.

That header was ****ing beast from him, and with the right deliveries he scores from every few set plays. We could use an Ace up our sleeves. With Carroll you don't need to make anything clever from a set play, just curl it into the box for him to attack or knock down.

Plus, there's always 2-3 players marking him, so imagine what it would be like having Carroll, Ben Arfa and Sissoko all in the same side? You just couldn't make them all and there would be space for others.

I'd have him back, not sure about a price though, except for considerably less than we sold him for !

The goal scorers in our team are mostly small, technical, tricky players, he would compliment them very well I think, any of Sissoko, Ben Arfa, Cisse would be likely to be in the path of the knock down ready to poach

I'd have him back, he knows where the net is and knows how to put the ball into it.

He's still got goals in him, let him score them for us again.

His value is decreasing with every passing day. West Ham have made it clear they have no intention of even asking about his availability after the loan.

£10 million for me was when he was doing ok, now he's worth very little to anybody. With no suitors and a club that doesn't want him, I'd say £2 million looks more and more a realistic price.

He has ability, no question. But with injuries, attitude and a lot of his game to work on, I don't see him getting a major move in England again. European clubs might be prepared to pay a bit more though.

I reckon 10m would be a good price. Liverpool clearly don't want the lad, despite what they paid. We need a striker and he` s a toon fan. Suppose alot depends on whether fat sam wants to keep him at west ham

Agree with most on this. 10m tops for the player. Now the big question is will the dippers be willing to eat humble pie and accept losing 25 million to us for free?

I thought it was the opposite?

10m for me, exactly what we need and I'd have him back. The problem is the injuries. Him or Bony? I'd be tempted to go Bony.

But they've been chasing so many other strikers... I suspect asking him back on loan would realistically be a last resort.

I'd take Bony by miles. Carroll is close to becoming a crock! We have enough of those <wah>

If I was in charge he would not be signed. Fee wise for any club should be around the £7M mark.

If he was to join I would support him all the way like any other player playing for us

Did anyone expect him not to profit from Fat Sham's footballing tactics?

I expect he fervently shouts the phrase "get it in the mixer" more than an irate boss at Shakeaway.
Actually, perhaps that's where he gets it from?

Would that 'direct' style work at NUFC, do we even want it to?? We play that way when the ideas run out anyway so he'd do ok I'm sure, but we need to become more akin to Swansea in our approach please.

I never wanted him to go but turning out for Liverpool and West Ham has tainted him in my eyes, so I'd rather our transfer policy went forwards than backwards.

    It's a NO.

He's black and white - I wish more of our fans would see that. He's one of us who was kicked out the door via fat mike's helicopter.

Bid £8m to get him back with us, and be a perfect partner for Cisse. I think £8m is tops though.
