We are defending better than last season and not conceding against clubs we normally would - especially Stoke. Our 3 new players have never played in the Prem and didnt even play ANY preseason together to gel - they will come good (Cazorla already has). Patience - Watch what happens at Liverpoool We will come good, keep the faith
I think that you just might be right - however, it is only two games and the usual player bashing has begun in earnest....Diaby and Ramsey as potential fall guys again...
Diaby is a quality player, no idea why he gets so much abuse. Last time he had a full season with us everyone was singing hid praises. As with Rosicky and RVP, once his injury issues are dealt with he will show his class. So far he is looking good and i think this could be the season he gets back to his pre-injury level.
Ramsey has been ****, or did you miss the part when he came on against Stoke, lost the ball, which led to the best and most clear cut chance of the match, only for the Stoke player to scuff his shot? It's a new season indeed, but it's the same story from some fans who choose to turn a blind eye to mediocre performances by average players, and continue to make excuses for them.
Same as above for Ramsey. As for Diaby, I have criticised him plenty, but I was happy with his 1st half performance against Stoke. Then in the 2nd half he ruined it by slowing his game down, slowing his passes down, and dawdling on the ball. He deserves the criticism until he puts in some good performances. Rosicky has demonstrated how it works. He was useless until he pulled his finger out and started playing.
Look, quote from France boss on BBC Sports: FOOTBALL Arsenal midfielder Abou Diaby receives his first France call up for over a year as coach Didier Deschamps names his squad for the 2014 World Cup qualifiers in Finland on 7 September and at home to Belarus four days later. "There always will be questions about his physical fragility but he prepared well, he played 90 minutes [for Arsenal] last weekend. He is on the right path," Deschamps said. "His potential is huge. He is a very interesting player. He's also 26, more mature, which is crucial for a midfielder." Could it be perhaps, Deschamps knows more than some of the Diaby experts on here?
