Itâs The Official CanariesSoccer Match Center for the ballgame featuring: Canaries @ Wolves Live from Stade Molineuxâ¢. Canaries are headed back into action on Tuesday night following a One versus One tiegame against Toffees @ GoodYear⢠Park. Canariesâ most-valued-player in that Matchup was S-A-C G. Holt, whose quick-footwork exploited a gap in the Toffees de-fense enabling him to convert from the six yard line. Coach Lambert: âThis [GoodYear⢠Park] is a really hard place to come and we battled really strongly and defended really strongly when we had to but also looked a threatâ In the matchup @ Toffees, the Canaries midfield-linesmen were largely absent, with the 1-2-1 line being exploited by Coach Moyesâ wide-route-playbook. The 1-2-1 midfield-line has been the subject of both criticism and praise in equal measure, itâs attacking merits may well see it selected yet again for this tough matchup @ Stade Molinuex. please log in to view this image Wolves have had a poor start to their EPL-series, and currently sit one place above the rejection zone, 17th in the Divisional-Standings. Coach McCarthy has come under criticism, however with the likes of S-A-P W. Hennessey, M-L M. Jarvis, and S-A-C S. Ebanks-Blake, Wolves have more than enough talent to cause Canaries multiple problems. Coach McCarthy: â"I'm not coming here to criticise my lads. I thought they were great. They defended all the free-kicks and corners and were a real threatâ This will undoubtedly be a hard-hitting matchup, with a semi-fierce rivalry between the two Franchises which stems from former Wolves defensive-linebacker (or should that be thug) K. Muscunt, who severely injured C. Bellamy during his Canaries tenure. Another flash-point between the two Franchises was the 2002 Nationwide-Division-One-Playoff-Bowl-Semi-Final, which saw Canaries run out as victors over two ballgames. Great as usual PC, do you want to post a link to this on 12 yards, which is where most Wolves are stuated!
I don't have a 12 yards account, but if anyone does then it would be good to share the thread with them, never as good when we are on our own!
I think dave posted a link CS but so far there's a deafening silence from the Wolves ! This thread seems to have got lost now
i would be more confident of three points if we didn't have such an horrendous record at molineux! i'd be happy with a point to keep the point tally ticking along nicely
A couple of years ago I would have agreed with you there Supers, but this is LAMBERT'S team don't forget. City 4 Ipswich 1 1p5swich 1 City 5 Lambo' has the midas touch so I'm banking on him putting our Molineux hoodoo to bed ! OTBC CTID In-Lambert-We-Trust
pretty bloody marvelous pre-match post as always come on you yellows. let's hope henry and co don't kick lumps out of our boys.
Awesome PC, always love these, should be a good game tonight. Superman I never really give much consideration to history like that. Only Wes was in the team that last went to Molineux. Everything else is different. Form is much more important. That said they'll feel they lost points on Saturday and will see this as a good chance to get a few to make up for it. So won't be easy (but which game is?)
Normally I don't either but there are some away games where there is an unwritten law that categorically states Norwich City WILL NOT WIN. We have managed to break some of these jinx grounds in recent times though (Coventry is a good example) and Moleneux has historically been a really tough place for us to get points but tonight I think a win may well just come our way. Have stuck my neck out a bit and gone for a 3-1 City win
i realise history in fixtures shouldn't mean anything but there is no doubt molineux has never been a happy hunting ground. its a bit like maine road - no matter how good a team we had and how bad man city were, we'd just always get beaten up there! in any case, i think a point away from home would be an excellent result
It was the season before when we went down 5-0 live on telly. Spoilt a good drink at the kings arms that's for sure and remember the pinkun headline was dunces with wolves. Still it's all ancient history and we have nothing to fear going there. OTBC.
i went to both those games. its not one of my favourite places i have to say! mind you, it was pretty exhilarating (even in defeat on the night) when we went up there for the 2nd leg of the play off semi final! one of the most vociferous atmospheres i've ever experienced. the locals weren't best pleased...!
Could be ICHB, there is a lot of bad blood between the fans, after the whole Kevin "massive prick" muscat incidents. I'd love to see holt keep adding to his tally. Such a legend.
bath, i think the only 'bad blood' comes from us norwich fans to be honest. most wolves fans i'ver asked can't understand why we hate them so much and often when told the reason why, the response is 'oh, thats a shame - i really like norwich'! personally, although i sing the song, i couldn't give two hoots about wolves. its muscat i despise.
