It's all Over for Uber

Uber has been told that it will be stripped of its licence to operate in London at the end of September.
Transport for London told the firm that it ‘will not be issued with a private hire operator licence’ because they found it was ‘not fit and proper’.
Uber has 21 days to appeal the decision and the final day of its current licence will be on September 30.
There had been growing speculation that the app could be banned from London. Opponents of the firm claim it causes gridlocked roads and does not do enough to regulate its drivers.

 

Someone who eats an insane amount of Pizza will not like this 1 bit.

I used them a few times and they are good but they have totally ****ed the black cab drivers off and don't pay tax

 

No chance of that happening. They just want more cash.

Taxi fares in London are mental.

 

Not with Uber they weren't.

New company called Taxify tried to start too, but they weren't allowed a licence.

Anyone that gets a black cab in London is a life-noob.

 

Most Uber drivers don't earn enough to live in London and **** off back to Birmingham and Luton after work.
This is great for me getting an Uber back from Liverpool St at 1am for £7 instead of £20 in a black cab but the only **** making decent money from Uber is the owner loopholing tax laws .
No point driving round on a scooter learning the Knowledge so you can take anyone anywhere from memory when Abdul cruises up in his Prius earning **** all and following his sat nav.

 

Got one from East Croydon to Crystal before. Meter was at about 40 quid in NO time and laughed about it with the Jock driver and he knocked it off and charged 50 I think for the whole journey.

He was a Hun so he probably thought I was too.

 

Black cabs are good for 4 or 5 people or if you have a buggy with a sleeping baby in but if you go solo and sit in traffic you are a mug.

 

Aye was just 2 adults. Got the bus the next time was about 2 quid **** sake

All of my Uber drivers have been professional courteous brown Muslim and from Luton.

I never said they didn't come from Luton, I said Birmingham. Luton isn't in Birmingham, is it?

 

2 adults 1 baby in a buggy and 3 walk around on their own kids from Victoria to Holloway is about £20 in 25 mins or over an hour and ball ache on the tube.
2 Ubers folding the buggy and having a screaming baby more than £20
