"Its all going wrong for Portsmouth again" tweets someone from BBC

I dont know the details as twitter is over capacity but there is a tweet on BBC website:

"Oh lordy, it's all going wrong at Pompey again, see @JohnSinnott for details...CSI Portsmouth was always going to end up in court"

Right, according to this John Sinnott bloke, Portsmouth's parent company Convers Sports Initiatives are the subject of insolvency proceedings

CONVERS Sports Initiatives, the owners of Portsmouth FC, are in administration, The News can reveal.

Accountancy firm UHY Hacker Young have confirmed they were appointed as adminstrators on Friday.

Peter Kubik and Andrew Andonikou, who were administrators of Portsmouth FC in 2009, have been appointed as joint-administrators.

Noises coming out Pompey last week, that 'CSI Portsmouth' wasn't inextricably tied up with; Vladimir Antonov, Conversbank, Bankas Snoras and ultimately Alexander Antonov (who was shot 5 times in Moscow 2 years ago) seemed a bit fanciful

Just had a few quid at 5/1 on Pompey getting relegated this season. A 17 point deduction would put them on 3 points.
Would be nice to confirm their relegation on April 7th.

Agreed - as a football fan it is not nice to see any football club in this situation. What's the difference between Plymouth and Portsmouth? Everyone was supporting Plymouth when they were in deep trouble, why would we want Pompey to go out of business? I certainly don't.

 

I heard that if you go into admin twice in the space of 3 years, the club will be liquidated. Is this true? Or a larger points penalty?

 

larger points penalty - looks like it will be 17 this time

 

Doesn't apply here as PL and FL are regarded as different competitions. 3 times overall though and that's game over.....
