    Gidday!

Something very OT & I'm a bit unsure if we're allowed to discuss "politics" here (?), feel free to delete it in that case. I just felt like writing something & thought that I could check with you lot what you think.

As some of you may know I moved from Sweden to the UK around 5 years ago.
I've been traveling a lot since then, even lived in Norway for a while, but I've spent the majority of my time in Stoke & London. I've only been back home twice a year or such for a short visit.

I'm know back in Sweden to get a proper degree & can't help noticing how things are deteriorating.
I'd say that I felt more safe in Stoke & Eastern London than I do back here.
I'm not the most obvious target for anyone looking for trouble, but I do fear for my mates.
There's currently a wave of gang rapes in the country (daily news basically).
Our lovely media won't mention it, but basically everyone knows who's behind it.
They tend to not speak Swedish...
I now have to meet up with some female friends after they've been out on town since they don't feel safe walking back alone, can't blame them really.

The latest thing I read in media was the following...

"The sexual attacks are due to the heatwave & due to people watching violent pornography"
    Right....<doh>

I don't wanna come across in the wrong way here. I don't care if you're black, white, yellow, dressed as a Scandinavian with red chinos in a night club in Stoke, whatever, but currently it feels like...

I donno... We're accepting a **** ton of kinder eggs and it's "let's see what pops out of this one".
We haven't got a clue who we're accepting in some cases. The absolute majority of the immigrants are good people, but ****s sake, we need to control it and focus on the people already here.

    My point/question?

    Haven't really got anything solid.
I'd probably be slayed if I wrote something similar like this in Swedish & public.
How do you think it'll be in a couple of years?

I realize that this thread might derail pretty quickly (if it's even allowed), but try to keep it clean, pretty please.

Not a lot of stuff being reported about this in English, but below links are always something I guess.

How come there aren't any foreign beggars on the streets in the UK btw?
Or very few at least. Just recall the occasional fellas walking around on the tube in London.
    Not allowed?

They're in every street corner here.
I got a scrambling 7 Eleven cup showed in my face when I arrived into town.

I wish this could stay on here Febbos. It needs discussion. We can't bury our heads in the sand forever.

    Over to you Mods....

I'm expecting a slap on the wrist and a deleted thread :emoticon-0101-sadsm

Edit: Yeah, just noticed the "help thread" for newcomers, no politics. My bad
I should've seen that before I wrote all that, damn it :p

Probably just a deleted thread Febbos, but if that happens, try posting again, but on somewhere like the Sunderland board.

I know they're not our club, but this has **** all to do with football, so why not?

    Kempton says this thread stays.

In the UK, it's called 'cultural enrichment'.

Have a look at the first minute or two in this clip and you'll get the gist
Even the Bulgarian media are reporting it more than "we" do ourselves.

I'm currently in a small town, but there'll be one Romanian/Bulgarian outside of every "major" entrance shaking their cups.

There are always loads of politics threads dotted around, if it gets out of hand then the mods will close.

The Liverpool board is good for off topic threads that people will take seriously.

Most of our threads are not football related to be honest, football sends us a bit delusional.

    Some recent threads we've had..

    Snails
    Badgers
    Snails vs Badgers
Lizard Men are taking over the world
    Conspiracies (x10)
    The Cheese Pub in Warrington
Kid gets arrested for making a clock
    Particles and science

Tbh the list goes on, and I kid you not we've been discussing ****e like that for years now.

as long as it doesnt get too racist or offensive, I cant see a problem

edit: Im sure that there is a political thread on the Watford board, or failing that, go on 'The Premiership' board and try your luck on there.
