From the days of andy Robinson, jumping ship, lee trundle leaving for the bright lights of Bristol, darren pratley forcing a move to bolton, dorus de vries's laughable move to wolves, even leons move to sheffield utd and this years clutch of players going,,, can only think of two players who still have anything resembling acareer left....joe allen, and possibly ben davies.......have I missed anyone?
Orlandi and Painter did ok at Brighton (wasn't them leaving us for a bigger club though....but they've got decent enough careers)
Cedric Van Der Gun scored 9 goals in 49 games for FC Utrecht in the Eredivisie between 2012-2014....he's currently without a club
Christian Edwards went to Forrest after a few years with us.. .then Forrest sent him around the country on loan after loan... back in 1998..
Jordi Gomez still has a Prem career (we only loaned him though). Andy Melville. Dean Saunders. Chris Coleman. Andy Legg. Jason Bowen....all went on to play at a higher level than we were at the time. Terry Phelan.
Tom Williams left us for Peterborough in League 2 but ended up playing 4/5 seasons in the Championship for Peterborough, Preston, QPR and Bristol City.
Don't know. He's starting their Europa games at the mo. Only made 1 sub appearance for Spurs (against Liverpool). Perhaps they are easing him in gentle? In 4 starts and 1 sub his passing accuracy has been 81% compared to the Spurs' team average of 83%, had a terrible game last time out against Partizan Belgrade (I watched it). They were attacking down his side a lot and he was a little ragged, he made 6 clearances (some of them desperate hacks away) and 5 tackles (Spurs made 31 tackles altogether)....the worst stat from that game was that his passing was down at 69%. The stats don't surprise me as, like I said, he was ragged Needs to put in a good shift or 2 and hope Rose has a bad game soon.
no not one of these, they were all pre robinson, trundle, apart from gomez who as you say was a loanee
Oh yeah, didn't read it properly, sorry. I suppose Michu going to Napoli could be considered a step up if he can stay fit and make the move permanent. Vorm might get in at Spurs if they sell Lloris next summer.
