I see he's still at it. I go away for a while and when I come back and catch up with the news nothing's changed. Buckle said on Tuesday, '...in the past I have knocked out Championship sides and League One teams...I have been fortunate enough to get to the fourth round a couple of times....' Well yippee doo for you .....if that's not raising expectations what is ? Does this bloke engage his brain before he talks ? Is expecting to beat Corby Town too high an expectation ? Somebody tell me ? Belt up Buckle and win some matches. 7 in the last 28 and counting !
The guy is a complete fool. I have heard (probably very unreliable) that if he loses to either Corby or Barnet, he will be made to walk the plank.... Probably crap but still. I would love for Buckle to succeed, I really would. He has the makings of a good manager but he needs to stop with the excuses and stop with the talking down of our fans. He needs to shut up and put up with the stick he receives as he puts himself in those situations. We WILL have high expectations Buckle, as we are one of the bigger clubs in this division and have spent a fair bit on players and wages this season. You should be getting more from your players. P.S get us a defender in NOW!
He seems to be very close to Higgs,19th signing and counting and he does seem to like himself. I still wonder why Trollope wasn't given the same backing when you had the Lambert transfer money..?
Wize i agree, the Board should have backed Trollope but instead made him work on a shoestring budget, and we all know how that turned out. I believe that with the disappointment of relegation the Board have given Buckle exactly what he asked for and that's where our frustration lies as we have one of the biggest spending budgets in the division yet the football served up has been dross. The individual players are good enough for L2 but need to be inspired by the management team. It's not all doom and gloom as there are parts of our play that make you think we are not far away from becoming a decent enough team. We just need to keep the faith and things will turn for the better.
