Cast your mind back to late December, losing back-to-back games away to both Chelsea and Manchester City.. It's a funny old cliché in football, the saying "bounce-back-ability", but boy have we shown it since then; the following games we've played in the PL since then. Hull (H) W 2-0 Stoke (A) W 5-3 Aston Villa (H) D 2-2 Everton (H) W 4-0 West Brom (A) D 1-1 Arsenal (H) W 5-1 Fulham (A) W 3-2 Swansea (H) W 4-3 Southampton (A) W 3-0 Played: 9 Won:7 Drawn: 2 Lost: 0 So not only have we gone unbeaten in the league since then, we've picked up a very good 23 points out of 27, which is very much title winning form coming in to the crucial part of the season. We well and truly have momentum.
That Villa game is annoying. A game which we should have won, those 2 points could be crucial, but before then I would have bitten your hand off for 23 points out of 27 so can't complain
Runs like that don't go unrewarded. The reward in our case: almost secured top 4 finish Another run like that... and the reward is?
In the still building/learning phase we have,.... sorry the players and BR have our team in second. Why? (Applies to us internally): Winning overall on the transfers in Winning on giving youth a chance Winning on not having too big an ego to change when you fecked up. It'll do this year, it'll do.
Even the City and Chelsea games were winnable. City we were robbed and Chavski should have at least been a draw.
