    Spearing, Robinson, Flanagan.

Can anyone imagine what would have happened if we played a premiership game with these guys in the starting 11 under Hodgson, or possibly even Rafa?

IMO, it's all about confidence... a few youngsters (unheard of to the masses) have come in, played well, and word has got out that they've played well.

This then breeds cautious optimism in the next game... and flanagan & spearing didn't disappoint.

Then Robinson comes in... and man-marks Walcott out of the game V the arse. Flanagan & Spearing again look assured and not at all over-awed or out of place. Flanagan even knocking out Carragher!

Now here we are again with all 3 playing, all 3 realising "hey, you know what? we belong here!" and playing with that attitude and confidence, which then seeps into the other players on the pitch, the fans in the stadium, and the opposition.

the building blocks are being laid for a very bright future, and it really is all down to Kenny.

The more optimism and cheer that is brought around anfield, the more confidence it brings... and the more confidence, the more people become optimistic and cheerful.

    long may the cycle continue!

oh yeah and totally forgot to mention that the 2 young fullbacks are brilliantly backed-up by Lucas, who is fast becoming a Liverpool legend, as much work Dirk does in the opposition half, Lucas probably does more in our own half these days... he's there to back-up both fullbacks whenever they are getting in the thick of it.

    sorry to triple-post!

but this photo sums it up really.

    it's not "well done maxi"

its more like " you're my best friend, our plan worked perfectly today, i can see you're happy and i'm happy too! well done, we're a real force to be reckoned with now."

I completely agree - Dalglish has given confidence to everyone and that last picture does just about sum it up.

    Good article :)!

    Excellent article.
I made this point before,Kenny treats the academy players(and lets not forget Jack Robinson is an academy player,He still qualifies for the youth team),the same way he does the first team squad. He gives them confidence. No roaring or shouting. There is so much unity and togetherness, its unbelievable.Any disruptions will be dealt with accordingly.Milan Jovanovic has just got himself a ticket out of the club.
Things have improved immensely since Cashinhando left the club.It was all about him,now its all about the team.Luis Suarez didn't score yesterday, but did you see the joy on his face when one of his team-mates scored?Again this is what I'm refering to.The lad is as unselfish as Dirk Kuyt, and thats the biggest compliment I can pay him.

If I were an opposition player and saw Flanagan in the tunnel I'd wonder where the heck his banjo was and get back in the canoe.

Confidence is key. When a team doesn't have it, the team looks average. When a team has it, they look great. We have confidence and at the moment we look excellent. :emoticon-0100-smile
