... we're going to get relegated this season but hey-ho that's just what happens when you lose your first game of the season. <doh>

It was a poor performance but we will improve. Under Grayson we have always reacted well to a poor result and I expect the same in the next game. I understand that we are all annoyed and frustrated but to suddenly change your views about the team after one game is ludicrous!

Not sure I can agree on that statement... How are people changing views ... My view has been not good enough looking squad, no investment and we are going backwards, we will not finish top 6... That stays the same , I thought it before the season started and still do...

However trying to positive I thought we would win yesterday I said 3-1 just wasn't expecting it to be reversed..

I dont think we will be relegated or anything like that but top 10 will be tough this season. That in my opinion is not good enough, even though we are not a big club anymore and I dont think it is our right to be the Premiership we should be there or therabouts with the money the club now earns and the fact we are debt free etc etc... It gives Bates liscence to not spend by saying he do not want
to go back to Risdale era which is fine but you have to invest a little to get rewards.....

I love Leeds but not Bates so I wont be investing any of my money as it will not be spent in the right place. I'm not lining the old gits pockets anymore.

I'm mainly talking about the people who agreed that the squad was better than last season (if still needing improvement) and we had as much a chance this season as last etc. but have now decided we're crap and are in for a season of struggle. Football's a funny game, we may now go on a great run and Southampton may lose a few in a row, you just never know. It was poor but to react like many on here have to one poor performance is ridiculous.

You yourself Simon21 were the one shouting loudest we have a better squad than last season and I have always insisted we don't. Wake up for christs sake, yes we will win a few and lose a lot more no we won't get relegated but we will be nearer that end of the table than the promotion end as you will cruely find out as your expectations are far too high.

I'm not th only one. I seriously don't see how the squad can possibly be weaker. Whether it's strong enough or not is a different matter. We should be judging the possibilities for the season ahead after the first 5 or so games, not the first one full stop.

Not only are we worse, those around us have all improved. If you can't see we are weaker it really isn't worth arguing with you, I haven't a clue what you see when watching a game Simon21. You stated that Clayton was MOM yesterday, most other Leeds fans myself included felt he had a poor game. You said O'dea played well, most other Leeds fans are thinking O' Dear and I won't even start on how poor Browne was. After 5 games we shall see how poor this current team really is... Next four league games, Boro, Hull, Ipswich, West Ham. I hope and pray we win those two home games otherwise after 5 games we are going to be rooted to the foot of the division.

But how are we worse, you can't possibly tell me Brown and Clayton are worse than Johnson and Kilkenny.

On yesterdays performance yes they are. Paynter is also worse than Somma who is out for the season or most of and Lichaj who finished the season is ten times the player O'Dea is.

Brown and Clayton are worse than Johnson and Kilkenny.

How is losing three further games without scoring reacting well to a poor result?

You seem too stupid to understand that we really could get relegated. It's not one game, we've had 2 and a half years of the same!

O'Dea should be compared to McCartney, playing a few games at the end of the season doesn't make Lichaj the regular left back from last year.

My argument has always been we are starting this season with a weaker squad than we finished last season with. You cannot compare the starts of a season previous seasons.. We were and are weaker now than we were when we concluded the 2010/11 season. We were not good enough to make the play offs last season, we have a weaker squad this season and teams around us have improved, end of.

Everyone knew that, that's why everyone has been upset this summer.

People told themselves that Schmeichel, Johnson and Kilkenny were rubbish and Brown and Lonergan would improve us, yet were still upset. That's because they knew deep down we were worse and had been kidding themselves.

We've also lost a striker who scored nearly 20 goals and is absolutely vital to the way we play!

As I stated in an earlier post without Beccio we can't play 4-5-1... beccio is not only good at holding up the ball its the work rate he puts in... I also believe the players themselves think where is the loyalty of the club towards players who do well for the team.. Gradel a prime example..

I'm getting worried but trying to keep the faith... God help us
