That must have been epic. "And Heskey slices it for the 30th time this game"

He actually got a brace in that game, one of those goals was a overhead kick, well sort of.

It's terrible, the A-League, really, really bad. And the worst thing is Aussies don't seem to realise how bad it is, they seem to think it's at least championship level for some absurd reason.
The defenders don't seem to understand the concept of tracking runners, while the outfielders are all static, they wait for passes to come to them, it's no wonder Heskey has been quite a success

Heskey is the "Chuck Norris" of football. According to KSI <whistle>

Let's be fair though, our football is well down the food chain in Ausie sport.I think they've done brilliantly to get as many half decent players as they have

By half decent do you mean Ono, Del Piero and ermm....Heskey?
I just think it's sad, the failure of the regular viewer to recognise how bad the football really is is what is going to hold it back, I honestly think that it will stagnate unless people begin to demand better quality football.
Having said that, maybe the money's just not in it.

They're doing what all places do. They get past-it big players so it drums up interest, increases attendances, more sponsorship & money goes in, more people start playing football & gradually the League rises.

MLS is far better now than it used to be. It's still a way off other leagues, but more players are considering it and moving.

I wouldn't say they haven't recognised the poorness, I'm sure they're very aware. They're addressing it in the best way possible but it will take time to improve.
