I posted a thread at 7 this morning, “what a nice day to be alive” and since then I have had a very good day. Had a laugh or two on here, watched 2 good games and had a nice dinner.

The sun still shines, the birds still sing, we still have a game on Tuesday then again next weekend.

We still lost 1-0 yesterday and Bruce is still our manager, oh and we still have 9 more days before the window shuts.

We still have 1 point and 4 teams still have none and just for for the record we have played 2 games.

Not saying we should all be happy and content but just asking one question.

Reading some of the comments, not all I admit, they depress me, but reading some I see anger, upset and tormented souls, my question is.....

“What has all that anger done apart from spoil your Sunday”.

Come on, relax because this is what being a footy fan up here is all about and I promise its been a hell of a lot worse than this.

Must be pretty depressing though, spending all that money rebuilding the team and Ryan Taylor tears you a new one.. ;)

Good post Syd. Yesterday afternoon was not good but when you consider the problems that many people have the loss falls into perspective, it's only a game of football and we should all get over it and be big enough to accept defeat with some grace. See you at the next home game.

    You sure will Les

When I was young I was called a dreamer. I served an apprentceship but wanted more, I was called a dreamer.Age 33 I volanteered for redundancy and took a commission only job in sales, I was called a fool. I was very successful and made a lot of money, I was called a positve thinker. I then built a national business, became a paper millionair, I was called lucky. A man then ran away with the money, I became poor but and bitter but finaly found peace, I'm now called happy and contented. Thats my theme song on that video.

Aye Syd it was only a game, no one died and when all the dust settles down and we look back next May hopefully we will end up higher than 10th, be still above the magpies and all will be well with the world, well for some of it as there are some on these boards that will never be satisfied.
They should have had a dose of Wayne Entwhistle, Bob Lee et al as Ive seen over the years so they can appreciate what we have now. Heres hoping eh....

Obviously as a Newcastle fan I have taken some pleasure from the mackems pain ( just like you would from ours if positions were reversed). I have had a bloody good chuckle at cestriamackem's ranting and raving. But it is good to see you keeping a sense of perspective. Don't get me wrong, I would be pissed off if we had lost, but it is only football and anyway there are still another 36 matches. If you sign a decent goalscorer you could still have a good season ( not too good I hope)

Shame you still did not have the money Syd - you could have bought us a new striker.

On second thoughts I should have asked Ellis Short when I got a cuddle off him yesterday!

Syd – never a truer word spoken. I lost my internet for two days & thought the world had ended. Guess which two Anyhow the sun still came up this morning & I was alive to see it. My connections back on & the nets still here. Having read some of the **** written on here since the game proves nothing much changes much & I’m looking forward to no more cross threads. Anyways enjoy your positivity towards life. KTF my good man.

Still gutted about the match, but hey-ho.

It was a poor match played by two poor teams on the day, that is not to say them two teams will be poor every game.

We will do ok this season, but so will the mags. They always seem to have a strong midfield, and do well with it, considering they are pretty weak up front at the moment.

2 games gone, that is all.

I'm still optimistic about the season, and happy about the new contract we've just got. So as you say, lifes still pretty good.
