Emanuele Pesoli of Serie B side Verona has gone on hunger strike in protest over his three-year match-fixing ban. The defender has also chained himself to the gates of the Italian Football Federation's headquarters in Rome.

Well, if you´re innocent and they give you a 3 year ban then, by all means, protest but I think this might be taking things too far.

Italian football is yet again in complete turmoil - first the Juventus manager getting a 10 month ban and he even offered to serve a 3 month ban and pay a fine. Rightly, the Italian FA told him to **** off and gave him a 10 month ban instead!

Kanu & TBH should have tried this at Fratton to get their money.

Perhaps an appeal would be a sensible course of action.
