Just been watching footage from 40 plus years ago when Man.City last won the title, and Sir Matt Busby congratulated Joe Mercer on winning the title. Can you imagine Fergie congratulating Mancini in the same manner, after we stop Man.Utd from winning the title tomorrow??I can't...can you???

He's been very gracious so far, I'm sure he will congratulate them if they beat QPR tomorrow.

Agree with trouble-n-stripes....Fergie will not like it,but he'll try to cover up his true feelings.

40yrs ago was when men played and managed football in a competitive and dignified way.

Fergie is to be admired but my abiding memory of him will always be the comment he made about Blackburn's in 99 when he pretended he did not know that Blackburn we relegated. Brian Kidd had left Utd to manage Blackburn that season and Ferguson had to look for another asst manager.

A good manager but not a nice man.

He is one reason I would refuse a knighthood if offered one.
