Yea, there were probably 75,000 people at that game though. They have always been known for being one of the louder nfl stadiums.
'dB' on it's own is a pretty meaningless reference. It needs the frequency weighting and also an indication if it's time weighted, sound power, sound pressure etc. It's possible a single dog whistle could be adapted to produce more decibels than that, and nobody would hear it.
It's the same inaccurate cobblers that had Stoke as 'loudest' and us as the 'largest City....' though. Three people could make more noise, would it mean anything if they did that and 'broke' the record?
