Didn't take long for that one to come up. A flare was set off. I wonder if the Salford police have a Corcoran type who will spend months tracking down the person who set it off and getting them banned from matches. Or will Salford police not have as much time ontheir hands as they are not a loe crime area like Hull must òbviously be? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...owd-protect-wives-children-squashed-fans.html
"Another eyewitness, who wished to remain anonymous, said a few young fans had actually rushed to the bottom of the crowd to greet the players, to which other fans took offence. 'It's all nonsense and overblown,' he said. 'There was only about two punches thrown during the whole thing." Pah
The flare was earlier. This was when they rushed forward to greet the players. Wouldn't happen in a safe standing area. Might not have happened there if the place hadn't been so empty.
The RL will decide nothing happened. And even if it did it will have been football fans. I wonder if Salford's club shop was broken into and a load of shirts stolen by football fans?
If football players had waded into the crowd to protect their kids it would be the main feature on all the TV news and front page headlines tomorrow,
No one thinks they would. I think the original poster was having a dig at some of our hysterical fans who thought we would face points deductions when fans went on the pitch to celebrate a goal or promotion. One was even worried about points deductions for events which occurred at a Cup game. Of course no one, quite rightly, has faced points deductions for fan trouble as it is obvious what that would lead to.
