Reports around at the moment point to a growth in match-fixing, particularly around the lower leagues. The main area seems to be around Spot Betting; betting on certain incidents happening at certain times. Players caught up in it, it is alleged, are vulnerable to it because they have a weakness for the bottle or betting. Perhaps the next time we see a player go diving in and think, 'Why the hell did he do that? and probably get a booking, we'll have an unfortunate thought in our minds.
I wondered why the footballers in Bristol are so rich - maybe it accounts for both our sides pathetic performances over the past 2 or 3 years!!!
