Sorry Greenjock never saw your post, think you beat me to it......but a welcomed new twist in the tale eh!
A happy occasion, I think we can all be thankful for Ridsdale helping the club for the first few months he was here. On the other hand I am not happy with his sacking of Reid or the (alleged) involvement with BIL and Heaney, which has lowered his creditability with fans. Goodbye to both Peters, one shown the door with a handshake - the other I would hope kicked through it.
Just think if we win tomorrow, will be the icing on the cake......but still he helped out initially and grateful...that's as far as it goes. maybe get this ready for morning
Looks like it is 100% official - http://www.pafc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10364~2460473,00.html Hurrah!! sagarebel - I doubt it. I would have liked him to have maybe become director of football for us or the youth manager but I feel he will find work elsewhere.
Well it looks like Ridsdale's going.............or his he !!!...........could this be a ploy to force Brents hand........so he offers him something..........to keep him longer..........I wouldn't think Brent has anyone in mind to do the job at what he can afford to offer!!! Ok ,Ridsdale says he will be available to consult with for a period.........OK that might be the truth,............and maybe he has something else lined up, or in the pipeline that he wants to move on too, assuming he isn't going to be the big fish in the pond at Plymouth. I have always said that until he does something to harm PAFC I will take him on face value. At present he has been useful in saving us from the taxman and kept the fundamental requirements ticking over to keep us in day to day business as a football league club.........and I say thank you for that. Most people have judged Ridsdale on his past situations, and obviously are jumping up and down with glee at his announcement on moving on. But if he his as devious as you say he is then hold on a minute and consider how his mind might be working..........just don't count your chickens until they are hatch I say. If he is genuine in saying that he is leaving and will help for a period if Brent needs his advice, then Ok thats fine with me and he can go,no problem. Who will come in and be the Director to run the club for Brent ?.......... that is a very important question,.......that person needs experience in football club management and they don't come cheap.......they only come cheapish if they are an out and out supporter of that club........I can only think of one person who fits that bill !!!!
Gat..........don't spend all your money in the Bar just yet........You can put a pint of Merrydown Cider behind the bar for me if he is definately going.
Excellent news ...... if that's what actually happens. I just wish he's step aside now so we could be sure any other bidders e.g. Buttivant are getting a fair crack of the whip. Not that I have anything against Brent, just that competition is healthy.
They are Blue Square South. They are not on here. Most people have been commenting on the www.thisiscornwall.co.uk website.
Long time no comment Distant. I agree with you competition is healthy - as long as they have the money!!
