A few weeks old, but infinitely sensible in my opinion. If you only read one bit, please make that bit the last line
In this context, what does "it's always darkest before dawn" actually mean? The dawn of Wenger's reign? He's been in charge of your club for 15 years! The dawn of the new season? Today will be your 6th game in the EPL! What other dawn is there? Sorry, but I don't understand the meaning of that particular quote within this context. Look, I'm all for fans and managers doing the old Henry V bit at times of crisis, bowmen at Agincourt and all that (although, ironically, at Agincourt, the French got their asses well and truly kicked!), but pointless rhetoric, especially when it is gibberish, isn't what is required. The only thing your fans have to do is accept that you've been seriously hurt, crippled even, by the loss of two top class players, and that no manager, Wenger included, can be expected not to be hurt by that. What will destroy Wenger is not any incompetence on his behalf, but the unrealistic expectation of your fans. Give the man time. He's been good for you in the past, he'll be good for you again.
