I went to buy our tickets for the Chelsea FA Cup game and was surprised after paying (cash - no debit/credit card charges tolerated by this old miser) to have my season ticket returned to me with my change but no tickets. Apparently my season ticket is all I need to get into the game now I have paid and it is recorded on the system. Yet another very clever Nicola cost cutting exercise.
As far as I know, nobody charges for debit card transactions. Only credit cards and cheques. But anyway, well done Nicola for simplifying the whole thing.
Yes, but StG paid in cash. Meaning that he went to the ticket office. A debit card is simply cash without the dirty bits of linen involved.
Understood that...probably keeps his money under the mattress as well Bit hard to get to booking office from the Island, so don't mind paying a charge to avoid a trip.
I need to as there is not a lot of straw left in it now! The mice seem to have chewed most of it. At St Mary's there is a big sign by each ticket office window saying that there is a charge of £1.50 per ticket for a debit or credit card purchase. I used my credit card when I bought tickets for my Swansea supporting in-laws only to be stung an extra £1.50 for each ticket. Unfortuately I had no cash with me at that time but I always pay cash now. An expensive lesson and one I will not forget.
