Something weird. I can't access net via chrome on laptop or pc at home. Opens up a blank page and goes no further with no error message. Works fine from android phone and pc at work. Tried to uninstall chrome but said I had to shut chrome first. It was not open so went to task manager where it did appear so shut those down then was able to uninstall. On reinstall, no success. The only other factor is that about 2 months ago my Chrome was hijacked by yahoo which I was not able to eradicate. Not sure if related. Firefox works fine and I know it's better etc etc but chrome useful for the way it unifies just about all of my digital world. Any help appreciated.
Sounds fishy that. I would do a full system and boot virus scan just to be safe. Somethings been corrupted in the registry.
I'd go into the install / uninstall software section of the control panel, sort by date and then uninstall anything you're unhappy with (you can look up any weird programs). I'm still on Windows 7 though and I know it's fiddly doing similar in later versions.
