www.debatabledecisions.com/tables So we should be 7th and the scum 8th... I must admit I had never brought into the whole "Newcastle are lucky" thing but this certainly does make interesting reading! Before any mags jump down my throat, I'm not taking this seriously, I'm fully aware you can't know how certain decisions would have affected the outcomes of games, just thought it was interesting.
There are so many other decisions, for example, the red cards for Luiz and Rooney that should have been given, that would almost certainly swing the game in our favour. I understand the article is not trying to pass off the table as fact, but it is so flawed I feel sorry for the person who wasted their time making it.
I have said all along that the Mags get so many decisions in their favour it is beyond the realms of chance alone, and we always seem to get nowt. This unbiased research just adds weight to my arguments...
And your not biased . Anyhow was just looking at the part where it goes through the worst incidents of cheating and in the diving section includes Paul Alcock for when he got pushed by Di Canio.
I take it by that you mean you're not biased.. And what I will say to that is 'how dare you insinuate such a thing as I'm fairness personified: surely even you will admit that...
Mr RAWhite you correct his grammar in your opening line and then start some quotes you fail to end in the second part. Got to be careful if you're going to pick up on the grammar of others. Anyhoo, this is clearly bollocks. Everyone knows it doesn't "even itself out" but there's no way you can make a table for how it would be if decisions were 'correct'. Perhaps penalties or offsides given incorrectly in the last minute may change the outcome but pretty much everything else can be ignored. For example, even if Luiz had been sent off against Newcastle (which he should have been, not just my opinion but the opinion of every report i read and heard of the game) Chelsea may still have won. After this many games people are where they are in the table on merit. sometimes aided by decisions and sometimes in spite of them. Get over it. Also, if all decisions made during a game were correct we would have so much less to complain about. Where would the fun be in that?
Fans see what they want to see. A genuine 50-50 decision will have one set of fans screaming that it was clearly their teams decision and the other fans screaming the opposite, that's the beauty and the problem. I genuinely can't think of which "Cabaye tackle" in the Sunderland game but then i imagine there are many Sunderland fans who forget Larsson handballing on the line in the first 20 minutes (i think it was about 15 minutes in, but can't be bothered to check) for what would have been a red card and penalty. Tough, wasn't given, play to the whistle - good enough for schoolboys then its good enough for grown men
But this was an unbiased panel which had you lot getting all the decisions: does that count for nothing?
This is bull ****. Let's take a penalty decision like at wolves where they should of had a pen. Wrong decission by the ref not to award it........ But who's to say wolves would of scored it had they had the opportunity. Swings and round abouts. We won that game because we put the ball in the net.
Newcastle are punching above there weight. No doubt about it. I've seen many comments from from the deluded that they'll finish top four...Not a chance. Please bookmark.
