Faye could easily have been sent off for his studs-up tackle. How would we have fared with 10 men?

Their (to my mind, wrongly) disallowed goal should have been given.

If anything the 'crap' ref helped us......

Exactly what I said. We were appaling tonight even with the extra man. But some of the reactions have still been laughable.

In the end, it's just a game and the way some on here have reacted to one poor performance is pathetic.

But still second! And another game down.

Some of the people on here should probably go shoot themselves in the face, close range with a paintball gun, several times or something with their pathetic reactions.

The ref Mr M Haywood was an utter **** tonight.

Wednesday running down the clock tonight as soon as they scored.

Fair enough, but flash a yellow to nip it in the bud instead of allowing it to ruin the game. Persistent systematic timewasting at every dead ball, throw in etc, and he seemed oblivious.

Another ref who seems unworldly, turns his back on goalkeepers who slyly move it to the other side of the goal for a dead ball. Their players ignored him every time he told them to get a move on, starting at their first goal celebration.

Standard of reffing seems to be getting worse.

I agree about the time wasting... With a stronger atmosphere in the ground teams wouldn't come here and get away with it. The crowd really can be the extra man in situations like that. The refs notice when 25,000 people get vocally aggravated by it.

    Also our ball boys

Are they the worst in the country?

Aid the away team, slow it down when it's our ball

    (Am I imagining this?!?!?)

Agreed. He actually gave us more than them tonight but he was just **** all round. Allowing the first goal was stupid, disallowing the second was stupid and letting us carry on against half a team was insanity but didn't matter because we were so **** we even ended up nearly conceding from that rather than attacking ourselves. He let the time-wasting go. Every time we had a free kick or anything their players were holding onto it and even Jones was at it and he just watched and allowed it. Booking Brady but not booking Faye or the lad who fouled Quinn just after was madness. Antonio tieing his laces in our half after they scored and the ref said nothing. He had no control over the game whatsoever.

No you're right on that too. I don't know why we can't train them to be ready to retreive the ball instead of just watching it trickle by them.
