This feel good factor regarding city again, thinking about city all week and then match days its great, i actually began to lose a little bit of that buzz at one point yet i still went to the games but iv'e got to say some of them in the past three seasons were boring, this season i have really enjoyed it again, i know winning helps but the football been played has been so enjoyable to watch but sometimes i think ive taken it for granted we had all that success once we moved to the KC and of course Wembley was a day we will never forget, just getting into the premier league, something a lot of city fans long gone never so was fantastic but then relegation and worse still massive financial problems we could have done a Porstmouth, not much hope, poor players, terrible crowds, no interest but instead here we are with a good side and in with a great chance going into the second half of the season, when you think about it and how it could have gone then the Allams have been massive in this part of city's history. I know none of us know what will happen in the second half of the season obviously January is so important, in's and outs, bans, injuries, luck ect all play there part in any season but lets enjoy it while we can hopefully it will continue and to all city fans out there have a great Christmas, best wishes for the new year and keep up your great support for the Tigers.
You win the 2012 Longest Sentence award! Seriously, mate - it is a good feeling. We're doing well and, by all accounts, playing good football.
Good post Johnbo, been going to City since Gareth Roberts testimonial and this is the best football ive ever seen City play, long may it continue.
Great post, but could be made better with..........punctuation! Piss take aside, I agree. I began to fall out of love with the game over the past few seasons and didn't think I'd miss my pass. Been to two games this year and been impressed with them both. If the work situation improves after Christmas, I will be tempted to get a half season pass.
Got to say how right you are ! We also owe the Allam Family for all they've done, for all the true football supporters in the area ! I remember standing on Bunker Hill at BP watching the great Raich, Viggo ,Billy Bly and others. Now we have the Sone, Koren,Chester and others to look forward to on Saturdays. I, likewise got very disillusioned and stopped going, although Citys scoreline was always the first one I looked for no matter where I was ( being a Merchant Navy AB) Can,t wait for the games to come fast enough these days and the nonbelievers don't realise what they're missing ! We should be filling the KC these days and cheering the team and the Allams for the good times coming back again ! UTT
I know they've improved since Fer Ark but the crowd situation is still poor- 16K in a derby is awful.
i agree i know its hard times and just before Christmas but we only had 15000 home fans and look were we are in the league, do people not believe we are good enough or is it simply down to finances. Lets hope the fans really get behind the side over the Christmas period and carry it on into the New year, i think the way the team are playing they deserve more fans to come back
Football is not good box office right now. Over-priced and over-hyped. Weekly bad publicity and crazy wages. Severest recession in decades. Then we have a very reticent and passive publicity dept at the KC. Perhaps they want to maintain it as a well-kept secret for the connoisseurs?
