Darlington future bleak after players, boss sacked. Darlington's administrators have sacked the club's remaining players as well as caretaker manager Craig Liddle. The Blue Square Premier club entered 11th-hour talks with interested parties on Monday morning in an attempt to ensure its survival, but its future now looks doomed. And we're pissing and moaning about not having a manager yet.
also just heard this about a macclesfield player who passed away last night aged 29 http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/m/macclesfield_town/9355603.stm rip richard butcher.
jenney, wow. i didnt see the date. i saw a link saying player found dead and clicked on it and was the bbc link. no idea the link was old. presumed was up to date! good spot.
I think he died from a heart defect (similar to Marc Vivien Foe). Ironically RB was the last person to see Keith Alexander alive having shared a car together, en route back to Lincoln (less than twelve months earlier). I've noticed the BBC site will ressurrect an old story every now & then. It can certainly catch you out..
