The knee jerk was the result of waiting too long. it was obvious in November that he had forgotten the main reason why he was appointed.

It was a knee jerk reaction, to the 4-0 loss to Leicester. If he had drew that game McInnes would have stayed in charge and the board would have feigned ignorance about how tenable his position was at the club. That much is obvious since McInnes was allowed to sign Liam Kelly two days before he was sacked.

Frankly, while Kinnear talks a lot of ****, he isn't exactly "worthless". He's had success before, and I reckon a DoF role would be ideal for a man with his health concerns. My biggest concern is putting a man with a history of illness in a stressful position at a Premier League club.

The Kelly signing had been ongoing for a while but couldn't be made official til just before the Leicester game I read somewhere, as for the sacking the board were worried for a while but kept hoping he could get the team playing again I just think the total surrender in that game was the final nail in his coffin, I don't have as much access to information from the Gate as I used to as the person who told me a lot of what was going on no longer works there.

Ashley and pardew fell out last year - the appointment of Kinnear totally undermines Pardew

Pardew was given an 8 year contract <doh> which runs until 2020! So if Newcastle sack him he'll
have enough to pay the rent!

Mciness should of gone way before the Leicester game, but the liam kelly situation was odd to say the least, even he said he was shocked and questioned the sacking when he went

and there you have it in a nutshell...

Ashley has obviously decided he doesn't want another 6 years of Pardew and has therefore made his position untenable at which point, he haas no option but to leave - whether this is grounds for constructive dismissal is arguable but it potentially saves Ashley paying out 6 years salary

I can't stand Pardew, a foul mouthed player and manager whenever I've been at a match he's involved in. BUT Mike Ashley seems to be a big prat from media repoprts over the last few years, so I hope Pardew makes him suffer for dishing out such a ridiculously long contract.
And Kinnear seems to be in good company doesn't he?
