A £2M stash of booze that's kept for the elite visitors to this country, stored on the Queen's land so that we pay her rent, this is taking the piss...

It's not that much compared to the cost of Trident or the Wedding, but still, if they talk about cutting costs, this must be something to be changed?

We paid for the Queen Mother's and Princess Margaret's booze for years, so it's no real surprise.

I actually respected the Queen Mother because she was honest..If you're going to take the piss at least do it openly.

I'm not surprised that they have a fancy cellar full of wine, it's just the agreement. Surely renting property off the Queen in a fancy part of London seems ridiculous?

Biggest myth peddled by the Royalist toadys.

Edinburgh attracts loads of tourists because of the royal palaces and castle etc. but the royals are rarely ever there. Do you honestly think the tourists would stop coming to Britain if the Royals were scaled back?

    No chance.

Said it on another thread but look at the French! They got rid of their Royals centuries ago and it's the most visited country in the world, and the tourists visit the old Royal properties...

The tourism claim is bullshit <ok>
