Just wanted to say that. It's great to feel positive again. OK, so it's not much fun for us 'foreigners' because there are no decent streams any more. But who cares? It's gone. The last two years of utter negativity and staying up until the middle of the night in order to watch my team not even compete has gone. So wonderful to have team spirit again. Belief that we can do it. Watching these players, who had every bit of hope sucked out of them by the vampire that was Hughton, believing in themselves again. Early days, but it's looking hopeful. Very hopeful.
It is great VC, although as you say, crap for us lot overseas not being able to see much. Even this early on, I am beginning to think that promotion is ours to throw away - now who would have thought that just a month ago.
Here's some proof that things have moved on from the tragic depths of last season Sort of... Edit: I watched that game in a pub in Bury St Edmunds - with my replica shirt on. I assumed that being (roughly) equidistant between Norwich and Binsville, I'd be all right with that! Ha! Not a bit of it - short shrift (and short measure ) all afternoon Next time I went into the Falcon, the barman said 'nice to see you again - without that shirt on'. Normal service resumed, then
This was the perfect game to get the monkey of last season off our back. I can't think of a better way to show that this team will fight til the end and to get the fans believing! Gone are the days when we would be 1-0 down and the game would be over. Now we say "Score 3 if you like, we'll just score 4!". I still say cautious optimism, but this is a big indicator of how Adams can motivate a team, and with the best team in the division, it should be a winning combination!
concur with the OP Vietnam - whilst championship coverage is less than good over here, the feeling of positivity is immense. I know we're not in the PL ATM, but pride is being restored.
Imagine how that dressing room must be buzzing. Very much enjoying being proved wrong so far. The ghost of hughton has left the building.
It is great to feel positive about things again and full credit to Adams and his assistants for that. An excellently managed transfer window, a good pre-season, and a well prepared, well organised team for every match so far. I was hoping for a good start, but this is better than good, it's great, and long may it continue.
We are the team to beat in the championship at the moment. Just compare us to Fulham and even Cardiff we are way ahead.
I would have settled for 6 points or more by the end of August and as you say, we are definitely showing the rest of the league that we mean business. Of course there will be setbacks along the way, but I'm certain that Carrow Road will once again become a cauldron of noise for home games - something that was sadly missing for most of the last 2 seasons!!!! We CERTAINLY are and it seems as though NA and the team have the same belief judging by our 2nd half display yesterday!!!
That second half display was so important for our season. 2 nil away for home, it's hard to come back from that. What yesterday proved to me is that; 1) We have the team spirit that was just not there last year. 2) Our players care, even Wes who I was sure would go. 3) Neil has the players on side and playing for him. 4) Neil knows what he is doing and knows how to change things when things are going wrong. 5) We knew what we were doing in the transfer window. 6) Neil has won the fans over. I'm very excited for this season, like I was when Paul Lambert was our manager and I can't wait for the next game.
It's certainly restored my faith in the club, last season 2-0 down at half time meant a second half of damage limitation we'd rarely bother chasing a lead, I've been impressed with Adam's motivation skills we haven't seen Norwich teams turn up in second half like that since the Lambert era.
In answer to Vietnam's OP - yes, loving it again. Not just the winning part though. It's games coming thick and fast and Norwich finally with a proper objective to WIN, not merely survive. So refreshing!
Interesting hearing Redknapp's post-match chat after QPR's drubbing by Man Utd. The gist of his response to the journo about going in at halftime 3-0 down away from home - you just try to make sure you don't let in six and maybe nick one back. Appreciate it was Man Utd not Cardiff but the sentiment is the same regardless... On the back of Saturday's performance, I don't think Neeyul would agree with Redknapp.
Feeling very positive about our season. Even though, like Thai and Vietnam, I shall not see much of it. Though my local has just bought a magic box that receives every UK tv station so if I can ever find the scheduled should at least see highlights.
