... as the song goes ...that despite our defence being rather suspect, we have still lost the least games (joint with Spurs) in the Premiership this season? ... wonderful spirit, exciting football and the top scorer in the EPL to boot ... #LivingTheDream
Really is great isn't it. 1 loss in the first 9 games. Add in the long unbeaten run at the end of last season..... WOW
To have conceded 17 goals in 9 games is a major concern but to have lost 1 game in 9 is credit to our attacking Very good but an awful lot to improve on Just shows how far we have come with our start and being very disappointed with certain aspects
.. Southampton benefited from one offside goal and a glaring miss from Robert Huth just before half-time ... nothing lucky about that come back .. good tactical change and tremendous spirit and belief ... many Saints fans believing themselves 'lucky' to have come out with a point ...
How to win a football match! two sides play each other, the one that scores the most goals will win the match! If both sides fail to score a goal e.g. put the ball in the opponents goal it is known as a draw or f*****g boring
Some people just don´t get it do they. Stan Collymore put it nicely "Leicester can´t keep relying on come backs" or words to that effect. CR has said "the DEF is a worry". Some seem to think it´s a kick about in the park this premiership lark... oh well crack on.
Dont think anyone who supports LCFC doesnt have concerns about the amount of goals we concede, but we are being thrilled with the style of attacking play, the never-say-die attitude and of course the amount of points we are amassing. Life as a City fan has always been a roller coaster ride, and we are having that experience these days within a 95 minute match. It is thrilling, and I for one certainly am getting my moneys worth.
Im not sure how a point away from home can be viewed as a negative, the only negative i see is that we were good enough to get all 3 points and if its negative to say we should have beaten Southampton on their patch, then im ok with that. Its all down to the amount of points after 38 games and the less losses we have, the more points we will have, regardless of our goal difference.
... I'd have far more concerns about this premiership lark if we we were not creating and converting chances ... we went down to League One with one of the best (if not the best) goals conceded stats in that division ... but we couldn't score at the other end ... We won't always come back from 2 down that is for sure ... but the fact that we have at least that potential is fookin' great ... Southampton away last season was one of our worst, toothless, displays .. set up for a draw, we lost 2-0 and as soon as they got one it was game over because we had no plan B and little self-belief ... Contast that with Saturday ... the Saints match thread on their board is incredibly complimentary ... one poster goes as far as to say that they have not been 'outplayed' like that at their place since Chelsea last season (when Chelsea were good ) ... The defence is a worry ... Wes lost Fonte for their first goal leaving Kante to challenge the tallest bloke on the park in the air ... their second was off-side ... we got a deserved point in the end, not a lucky one by any means ...
From what i remember it was joint second fewest goals conceded thanks to Kisnorbo actually having an injury free season. Was probably his last injury free season, sorry Leeds In my 20 years supporting the club, im glad we have gone from some of the lowest lows of league one/tier 3 football, to holding our own in the premier league this year. Lets hope that we can keep defying the odds, but not from 2 goals down, earn those pizzas boys! Though with Palaces pace, i think this will be another fixture where we will haveto outscore them ... Vardy hat-trick ... golden boot by christmas!
