I have no interest in the event and my attention is only drawn to it when I see news headlines. 5 riders have died this year alone. Is this event so special that they carry on regardless or is it time to just stop? Such a tragic waste of lives.
That's what I saw this morning mate. Poor family. Is it really worth it? Like I say, I don't follow it but the narrow course must be treacherous.
I used to live in the Yorkshire Dales and virtually every week the local paper would carry a story of somebody being killed or seriously injured on their motor bike. It was usually a 50 something who clearly had the money for a powerful bike without the skills to match. The Isle of Man TT is a bit of a religion for these guys but if it didn't already exist you would never get it approved as a new event.
It’s entirely up to them, the same as any other sport. No body should stick their nebs in anybody’s sport if they are happy the way it is
