Wouldn't surprise me. Heard he had a bit of an attitude problem although these sort of rumours always abound.
Heard that Man City were tapping him up a few months back, nothing since then. He owes a lot to Celtic, he wouldn't even be in the country if Tommy Burns had not of campaigned to stop him and his family being deported. A couple of years of first team action in return would be nice.
Newcastle bound, from reading some other sites. Family already been down looking at houses. Allegedly.
He like Freddie Adu...he's bene 15 for ****ing ages. If he goes, then fair ****s to him - in the EPL they got academys overflowing with talent so he'll find it a lot harder to make it down there. So it's a choice between potebtial 1st team action within a season or two or lower league obscurity if he ****s it. Or even worse, a move to Aberdeen in a few years!
It pisses me off when you nurture youngsters into good professionals only to see them snapped up by the bigger fish. We've had it with Danny Wilson. Mind you the OF have a cheek complaining as we've been doing that to the rest of the SPL teams for years. Still its frustrating never the less!
I've heard he's going nowhere and Lennon is considering him for training with the first team next season.
Ive heard its going to be tricky for 60,000 people to chant " theres only one islam " without attracting an american drone strike.
The lad always seemed a good natured kid when I coached him when he was younger. Cracking player too. Wouldn't surprise me one bit though if his family were pushing for him to move elsewhere for the money. The boy was Celtic daft, but I don't think his mother ever saw that as a priority...
I heard Lennon was a little bit disappointed in his progress. However there is probably as much truth in that rumour as the others. Not too often that the wonder 15/16year old makes a wonder 22-25 year old. Had we not the best under 17 year old player in Europe on loan a few years ago and got rid of him after a month to 6 weeks. He still is not up to much.
I thought England had a rule, players in a clubs academy had to have been born within 60 miles of the training ground. Whoever signs him would need to give him a pro contract.
