I'll not lie and tell everyone I'm so nervous ahead of Wednesday afternoon. Bot teams need the points. Our previous shambolic encounter at Upton Park was one of the worst games I've seen Fulham play and we are playing off the back of a proper thumping. However, 3 points would go a long way in reassuring me that we have what it takes. Nothing less than 3 points will do for me. Anything less and I'm sorry but the writing is on the wall. So, yes it is a season deginer for me. COYW.
Craving you are right this really is a season defining game. If we are to pick ourselves up and move on this is the game where our season starts. West ham have struggled , as we have, and we need to make the cottage a fortress once again. Strangely, I hope that the drubbing at hull galvanises the team and makes them even more determined to come with guns blazing. We need berbatov back up top badly, so fingers crossed.
I've got to agree on the necessity for 3 points on Wednesday. So does Rene, hence his team vs Hull. It will be nervy, but just as much for Big Sam and The Irons. So let's all cut our finger nails! C O Y W
I think our next two league games are defining, home to West Ham and home to Sunderland...... A) less than 3 points and I think we're doomed B) 4 points or more everything looks a lot rosier C) 3 points and the situation remains as it is ( on a knife edge)
I think we'll pick up 4 points however I think the bottom will still look similar. Draw WH and beat Sunderland. I was at WH when we lost and agree its the worst ive seen us play this season...thank the lord I didn't make Hull.
The West Ham game away was a really poor performance but since then, under Rene, it has been shown that these players can play and the change has been dramatic. I really didn't think that those players had it in them and was astounded by the turn around. We've been unlucky against Spurs and Man City and beaten Villa and Norwich but each time the performances were good. I think Rene just made too many changes to rotate the squad during all these Christmas games. It was a risk and perhaps naive and did not pay off. The team and us have to forget that result and crack on and I think that is crucial - heads must not drop. If confidence drops slightly then I think we are doomed. The important thing is that we keep up these performances. From 10th down in the league everyone is vulnerable. How we play against West Ham is a defining moment. COYW
