... bit more drama ... has to miss next game before coming back to score winning goals in final 3 games?
No he does a swallow dive at least twice a game. As a decent player he is stupid to do bit and has been called on not today. He has to cut it out
Vardy was held in the box and it should have been a penalty .....full stop . When the ref missed the holding call , a clalamity of events not only made Leicester not go up 1 - 0 , but they went down a man .........all from the ref missing Vardy being held in the box . unwarrently undeserved outcome ..IMO
Vardy shouldn't have got a yellow for the first challenge, but deserved one for the dive. The games powers need to start retrospectively banning players for cheating - would soon stop it happening.
Crikey - watched the match again (on TV), and the ref wasnt any where near as bad as he looked from the terraces. Poor first booking for JV by Moss, but he let a hell of a lot go by Huth.Thought before the sending off we would comfortably see the game out again - soaking up the pressure. Credit to West Ham - they came and had a go from the first minute. Happy with that point.
Having looked at the incident again I wouldn't say it was a dive or simulation as there was definite contact, so he shouldn't have been booked for that. It was more that he engineered the collision so should have either been given as a foul (maybe without a booking) or unsporting behaviour (with a booking). The fact he appealed for the penalty probably made the ref's mind up. It was very much like the Simpson sending off. The first card wasn't even a foul in either case.
Looking at the season as a whole, if these 2 sending offs are the extent of bad refereeing decisions against us, then we have had a pretty good season with referees, its just a shame that it had to happen this close to the end of the season with whats at stake.
Did Vardy dive .... Absolutely . Should have there been a penalty before Vardy dived ....Absolutely If there was a penalty before Vardy dives , does it matter if Vardy dives .... Absolutely not .
Yup - first was a crap decision as the player tripped over Vardy rather then being tackled and the second was a good decision as it was a dive.
