Is tonight the most important game since being relegated from the Prem?

    What do we think?

I think it has to be up there.

Nah Saturday will surpass tonight if we lose plus Swindon (Play-Offs)... Carlisle (Promoted) were important too for simply getting out of League One

I see your point, but with the play offs we still had to go to the final and win so as a one off game to guarantee survival or promotion it had other circumstances after, the same with Carlisle we had plenty more games. This one is simple. We win, we stay up.

See what you mean as well about the Home Game tonight

Trouble is you could also say that about tonight... We lose tonight then we've still always got Blackpool on Saturday where we can get a result and survive

In recent times, I haven't been as nervous as Swindon at home or Sheff Weds away in League One. But I'm sure on the way to The Valley it will all change..

You would have enjoyed the old two legged play off finals v Leeds in 87 <cheers>. It was so tense that night, my buttocks squeaked as I walked into the ground. Have a look on You Tube.

    The replay was worse.
    Most depressing day following LUFC.

I have to admit that I didn't find the penalty shoot-out at Wembley in '98 very enjoyable.......until we won the thing that was :D

Do you remember the home leg at Selhurst, we won 1-0, I think Melrose scored for us? The Leeds end was almost completely empty for the first 20 min. All of a sudden 5,000 Leeds fans came into the ground. Hadn't there been a huge delay on the motorway, causing their coaches to be delayed?

Certainly very tense at St Andrews, I remember when we were let out after the win feeling a bit like Michael Caine in Zulu.

1988. Stamford Bridge. Us or Chelsea for the drop. 1-1 draw sees us safe.

I was there. Battle of Stamford Bridge. Great game. Bob Bolder at his best. Paul Miller leveller for us. Kings Road like Beirut at full time.

    Great stuff <cheers>

You can see me in the crowd at 38 min if you look closely.

Colin Pates signed for us the season after for £500,000, he was a decent centre half.

You can't tell me that football wasn't better in those days. Terraces. Smoking. Sexism. Violence.

That was a great day out.

There are other videos there as well - the last game at The Valley, that 1987 Play-Off Final replay, as well as a report on The Valley Party. It's amazing stuff.

Coach crash. Got stuck in the jam.

Always remember you guys having the big Kop at St. Andrews and hardly any of you there. We were crammed in down the side and in the seats behind the other goal. I don't know how outnumbered you were but we were all so she'll shocked at the end no one even murmured.

I remember getting out of St Andrews, talk about running the gauntlet. Just pleased that I got out in one piece.

I remember sheridans free kick as if it was yesterday. Pretty hard to take on top of losing the fa cup semi against cov the same year.
