    After thinking of the other DM's in the league, i truly believe we have the best one in the league... which i hate to say it, may make him harder to hold on to...

    Competition

    Parker?
    De Jong?
    Song?
    Huddlestone?
    Fletcher? (if u can call him a DM)
    Fellani?
    Barry? (LOL)


    Can any of these even be considered in the same league?

    Am i missing any?

    This season he's been the best. Without question

    Essien is probably better though.

    He's been the best this year, but you have to give it to Essien (until Tiote's had a couple seasons/killed Essien)

    interesting how many on here consider essien a defensive midfielder... i always think of him as box to box with mikel usually holding in the chelsea 3..

    however with the addition of ramires i think u are right that essien will play further back <ok>
