Massimo Luongo has been sent back to Spurs with MM saying: âMassimo has gone back. He's a good footballer, but you'd expect that coming from Tottenham, but I need a different type of player." Understandable to a degree as he hasn't featured much lately but when I've seen us play he's looked a good compact player, a sort of upgrade from Hyam as he has more quality and end product on the ball. With Wellens likely to be heading back we will have NRC, Drury, N'Daw & Hyam as our midfield options from now on... two of which aren't ours or are on short terms deals, personally I'd have liked to have kept Massimo but I fear MM will go for some workmen like players in the middle with little passing ability and no flair. Similar to Sumilikowski (remember him?)
I think it's a good decision by MM. Having him here and not playing is not doing anyone any good. While I would like to see his sort if player playing for us, we need the workmen to dig us out of this situation. One step at a time and we need the right players for each step
Its great to hear that the young lad Hewitt will be included in the first team squad for tomorrow. Its about time we had a proper recognised Right Back and hopefully he will be replacing Edwards in that position soon!
This thread is for the discussion of the players we have on loan, how long they'll be herer and how Luongo has been sent back to Spuds This thread: http://www.not606.com/showthread.php/178259-Macc-Ladd-makes-the-squad is discussing the fact that "the young lad Hewitt will be included in the first team squad for tomorrow" Not to worry just thought you might be getting a bit confused on this long Friday afternoon Warky
On topic I would say that I'm not surprised that the lad has gone back to the Spuds. We need someone with a bit of bite in Midfield and tbh he was never going to feature in every game this season. This will open the way for Hyam to stake his claim at last. 1 Down 7 to go!
I think he's making room to get more loans in.. once Wellens goes back this week, that'll be one or two more spaces to get loans in. And if i know McCarthy, i think he'll look to sort the defence out first, possibly with Higginbottom out next.
Got no problem with loans, IF they improve the team over what we already have and it's not too many to cause unrest in the dressing room. Can't say too many here currently can claim to be doing that though.
