He could still be in prison and played better than our current LB...

You can't defend behaviour like that, but if he was the member of a gang that ONLY fought other gangs (I doubt it though) it is not as bad as inflicting your preditory nature on a member of the general public.

I personally know Aaron Tumwa who is in the reserves side....and he is left footed and usually plays LB, though is playing CB more often now I think?.....

Can't be due to a lack of pace, he's a sprint/long distance champion!

We cannot be desperate enough for a LB to take on someone with these values.

theo - we took on Marlon King and Moses Ashidoki and not much was said at the time. In fact Marlon was a hero until he left and offended again...but TBH I cannot see him making it, he has never produced the goods at any club he has been at.

I don't want to be negative, but this is/was a family club. If we have a player with a history like this we might as well get Moses Ashilodi and Marlon King back. We could employ Keith Cassells to keep them in order.
We need a left back but not this one, his footballing career isn't none too savoury either.

W-Y...we did take on both, though I personally would still question those decisions. MK was a skilful player, and popular with fans, but for me some things are actually more important than that. Second chances for a young man are one thing; turning a blind eye to to the violent tendencies of a mature man seems to me inappropriate in a family club. As you say though, this latest addition looks unlikely to have the ability to be taken on anyway.

I guess this is the point of the trial... first to all of all, to see if he is good enough, but also to see what he is like as a person, and if he would fit into the ethics of Watford!

I'm not sure we can go by one story... Yes of course he sounds an unsavoury character, and you don't go to prison for nothing, but maybe the guy does deserve a 2nd chance! I'm not justifying it, but it is so easy to get caught up in the wrong crowd, especially if your brother is there already, and may have felt he was 'protecting' him!

If he is a 'bad egg', then I'm sure Malky will ship him back quick enough! We have had a few players like this (MK and MA) and Marlon proved himself while Moses didn't, and both left for footballing reasons! If this guy proves to be a good player and has put all this passed him and changed, then I think he should be given a chance!

I think most people deserve a second chance - we don't know what the circumstances were of his offence - how many of us can honestly say we are proud of everything we did when we were younger. Trial him and let him know our family values and that breaking them means him saying goodbye - but I still doubt he is good enough as a player

So not an immediate No then ! interesting it would be nice to have someone in the side who can use a left leg for other duties apart from standing on!
