I'm finding it increasingly more difficult to muster up any enthusiasm watching Saints with each passing game. The season could well be over after we play Fulham in early January (and I can't see us being seriously in danger of going down personally, we'll finish lower midtable IMO) So my question is, can you remember a more uninteresting season in your experience as a Saints fan?
More uninspiring? 08/09 End of thread In a weird perverse way I wouldn't mind a good old fashioned relegation battle to get the adrenaline going.
That's what we need, a good old fashioned relegation battle and some protests! Shame we've already played Burnley at home, we could have about 100 knobs from the Northam run over to the away end before ****ting it at the sight of a muzzled dog.
Despite getting relegated, the fans always supported the team, The "atmosphere" at SMS this season is non existant and is adding the the whole boredom of this season ( the lack of goals is not helping either).
To be fair, we're doing our best/worst to turn it around, such that this season is no longer boring. Unfortunately, our fixture list in April and May isn't great, so our current attempts at injecting a relegation battle into the season might just simply lead to a boring, limp, straight forward drop downwards.
Over after we play Fulham? You don't remember the 90's do you, fun starts after the last cup exit! Just hope we have the bottle.
The thread is all wrong. As some have already said, a struggling team isn’t boring, it’s just not good. Some fans will bow out now because they interpret ‘not good’ as ‘boring.’ I remember the good old days when the fixtures came out and you look to see who we played in May to see how the season would pan out!
The position of match day thread writer is still occupied, as we didn’t actually lose today! @Saints_Alive, over to you!
