2025 Epsom Derby. It's 6/1 The Lion in Winter, 25/1 Ruling Court and 331 bar Never seen anything like it
Just a trio of notes re the '25 Derby. - What do Unibet know (or think they know) about Wimbledon Hawkeye?!? With every other bookie chappie he's a best priced 25's (14/1 in places) yet Unibet are standout at 40/1. Discrepancies like this rarely exist these days. - A number of firms are quoting Bluestocking's half-brother, Dissident. He's a gelding!!! Very poor from these companies who should hang their heads in shame. Incidentally, Bluestocking's 3YO half-brother, Qirat (also a gelding), is being sold at Tattersalls next week. - People, I'd pay a very close eye on the maidens/novices taking place on the AW over the winter months. With no standout performer yet emerged (and unless one comes out of the woodwork in the few Pattern contest remaining on turf) if a colt wins one of these winter events in a half-decent, or upwards, way given the state of the market the dappy thing is he will probably then be given a quote in the region of the 16/1 to 20/1 mark.
