Is This Season Make or Break for Brendan Rodgers?

    No two ways about it, we have to get a good start this season against Stoke after the fiasco of last season's 6-1 defeat. We have to put in a shift and BR has to prove this season he's sorted out the defensive frailties as well as the poor finishing issues.

    If it doesn't happen, if we have a disappointing run and if it turns out we've bought more lemons (IMO Benteke isn't worth £32 mill though he's proved he can score goals) will Brendan's days be numbered as Liverpool manager? Can he survive another disappointing season? And should we swallow our pride and have a go at Only The Europa League?

    If we don't at least challenge for 4th he's out the door.

    If we're bottom half of table in October... He is a gonner.

    Frankly the first 3rd of the season id make or break for BR. If we're not top4 or within touching distance of top4 and Klopp is out there waiting, its curtains for Rodgers

    Yes... I remember the old chat rooms from college. I always lied and said I was 21 so women didn't think I was too young... <whistle>

    Its just been forever since I've seen it. ASL usually means sign language to me now...

    So you don't like Klopp?

    Fact is he's still out there with a Christmas return. I can see FSG giving Rodger till just before Christmas (mid December) and if he's not where they want to be, it'll be the end of BR (and rightly so) and Klopp would be the main target.

    Rubbish! Shave him, wash his hair and tidy him up a bit and he'd be the spit.

    I didn't say I didn't like him. I think he looks as mad as a box of frogs in a good sort of way and it would be about time we got someone with a pedigree....but that's being premature isn't it, there's no failure at this point in time...

    Guess we'll have to disagree on that first part, I just don't see it :emoticon-0131-angel

    Well there is no failure at this point, granted...... But we'll see in December. Most of me obviously doesn't want the failure, I want the club to win stuff, but Rodgers is wearing abit thin now. Premature, but we can all dream about a manager who could actually win us the league.

    It's very very simple.

    Lose first 3 and he is gone.

    The phrase make or break is actually not great as any manager is only a bad run away from the door.

    Rodgers has had all his chances imo and must deliver very impressive form imo.

    For me touching distance of 4th after what we just spent Isn't enough.

    We have to be looking better than that. Anything less and he should go.

    Rodgers isn't British. He's descended from a Catholic family in NI that makes him Irish not British.
