Is this really a good article for the BBC to be publishing? http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/23703265 This is not a good thing to publicise. Does no good for football and almost makes it sound like there is nothing wrong with forcing a transfer through in these ways. We all know it happens but it should be discouraged not made to sound like reasonable behaviour. In some ways I have justified them posting it by talking about it. Plus Savage is a twat.
Id assume it is but its a stupid article to put up. Making light of players on huge contracts sulking so they get their way.
To be honest, none of it surprises me really. not condoning some of it like the not putting in 100% in games but the sneaky chats with players from other clubs must go on all the while!
No it isn't, but publishing it is typical of what the BBC has become (as is employing Savage in the first place). They think it is "edgy"; anything to avoid appearing stuffy and out of touch, while in fact being stuffy in their own way, and out of touch ......
Don't get me wrong none of it is at all surprising and we all know it goes on. Just don't see the benefit of publicising such behaviour in this way.
The BBC do - and will, persevere with Savage, Crooks, Bright, Claridge etc etc. Even Lawrenson's perceived 'relegation'to part-time MOTD twat caused ripples. How pathetic. It's like many institutions that shouldn't but still do exist - like FIFA with Blatter still involved. The day they abolish the licence fee and make it PPV is he day I'll be happy. MY crown jewels are not Wimbledon, the Grand national, the frickin' Boat Race or the Open golf. Last I heard they were trying to convince us all that MOTD soon being on iplayer was a kiss on the forehaed
Years ago I would have defended the BBC and the licence fee but now they are just a pisspoor outfit who peddle trivial bollocks and everything is PC and hosted by either Bruce bloody Forsyth or Gabby talentless Logan. The morning news is basically weather forecasts interrupted by more sh*te by amateur presenters that have got no gravitas at all. Sky is miles better but I refuse to give that bastard Murdoch a penny so I will continue to be an old git whinging about everything. BBC Radio however is a cut above and worth £10 a year of anyone's money.
