Except for raking in more cash for FIFA, is there any point in tonights game? From a players point of view, is there any kudos to be gained from finishing 3rd or 4th? Or as a supporter, would you be willing to pay hard earned cash as losing semi finalists in the FA cup? Paying to go to Wembley to have the right to say we were the 3rd best team rather than the fourth? I doubt if any of the players or management have any real ambition, and would, given the choice, would prefer to go home. Without looking it up on google, who were the losing semi finalists in 2010 and 2006?
From a spectators point of view, not much point at all. From a players point of view, it's a chance of a medal from a World Cup. You'd think they'd at least want to play for that.
